This is a mycorrhizal fungus that forms a symbiotic relationship with host trees. It also forms a symbiotic relationship with the Atta Vegetablevendoris ants.

•Inundation and salination of fertile soil in coastal areas

•Extreme weather events

•Lack of crop diversity
